Group Reordering
It would be great if the groups could be reordered by either dragging them or using up/down arrows. This would really help keep groups organised.
EDIT: Ok, so i've just realised I can already order groups by selecting them in the order I want and click the 'plus' icon of the parent group.
Group Visibility
I was thinking maybe something similar to most layer based graphics editors. Each group could have an 'eye' icon next to the 'padlock' icon that hides the parts in that group when clicked. The icon would then change to indicate that the parts are hidden, maybe a closed eye or something. If the group has sub-groups then their icons would also change to show they are hidden. Clicking the icon again then shows the parts in that group (and sub-groups).

It is pretty funny because when I read you message you described pretty well how groups were working in the previous version of the workshop 😛
I changed the way it was working to improved the performance of the workshop and get something more stable.
However, I will add at some stage a proper function to re-arrange the group order as I will need that for the instruction builder that shall come later this year.
In this version of the workshop, visibility is not linked to groups anymore due to performance issue with big models. It required too many checks and significantly slowed down the workhsop. So I don't intend to really change that in a close future.
