The part count displayed in the workshop for a model appears to be incorrect. I just modelled my latest version of the train diamond crossing (http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/LVyvnr1wvl3). When in the workshop, it is saying that there are 303 parts. If I download the CSV part list for it, it contains 292 parts. I know that it meant to contain 292 parts, so the inventory appears to be correct but the workshop appears to be miscounting.

Hello,
I had a look at your model to see what was happening. It is actually not a bug. The workshop also accounts for hidden parts - click on the Show All button (or ALT + H) and you will see 11 hidden parts being displayed. On the contrary in the part list, only the visible parts are processed.

RuMontag pointed a real bug in the part count that I will correct tonight. I forgot to refresh the number when the undo/redo function is used.
