I created a fairly large model and I can't figure out how to zoom out to get a good shot of my creation.

Hello,

To zoom in and out, you can use the mouse wheel.
Alternatively if you work with a laptop, you can also use the multi-touch trackpad (e.g. 2 fingers slide up or down on a macbook).

To rotate the model use the left button of the mouse (or trackpad).
To pan the model use the right button of the mouse (or trackpad).

Hope it does solve your issue. If it doesn't, could you let me know you computer configuration/browser so that I can have a look at that?

Regards

i am on a acer chrome book. what button do i use to zoom in and the button to zoom out? i want to know how because i am building something big. i mean BIG.

It is very easy to zoom in or zoom out screen by using a wheel of a mouse or you can use the zoom options from bar icon. The https://www.superiorpapers.com/ is one of my favorite sources to learn new about the trackpad and I think you should follow these instructions.

Thanks for posting this question — here’s what works for me when I need to zoom out (or navigation gets tricky):

If you’re using a mouse, simply use the mouse-wheel to zoom in and out. If you’re on a laptop or trackpad, you can often use a two-finger scroll (or pinch gesture, depending on your setup) to adjust zoom. To rotate the model, hold the left-mouse button (or trackpad gesture), and to pan/move the view, use the right-mouse button (or laptop equivalent). That’s exactly how I work when building large models.

If that doesn’t solve the problem: double-check browser zoom settings, or try another browser — sometimes performance varies depending on hardware or browser compatibility.

Hope this helps — happy building!

I had a similar issue when working on a larger model. The easiest way to zoom out is usually by using the mouse wheel. If you are on a laptop or Chromebook, try using two fingers on the trackpad to scroll up or down. That normally controls zoom in and zoom out inside the Mecabricks workspace.

If it still does not work, I would also check the browser zoom level first, because sometimes the page zoom or a browser extension can make the workspace feel harder to control. I have seen cases where unwanted browser extensions or pop-ups affect normal browser behaviour, so this kind of cleanup reference may be useful for anyone troubleshooting browser-related issues:

You can also try opening the model in another browser to see if the trackpad gestures work better there. For larger builds, I find it easier to zoom out slowly, then use right-click or trackpad movement to pan around the model instead of trying to move everything from one angle.
