@Snap: Ooh, nice idea! I'll have to try that one day..

whats this?https://i.imgur.com/MWO5KmS.png

That's 'sunlight'. It's one of the lamps you can use in RenderFarm.

WHaT?! i need to try this!

love it so much!https://i.imgur.com/WTnWbEH.png

Greenie: The new PFP's A real looker. Very nice.

Blackflame: Yeah, the sunlight lamp is great for changing up the atmosphere of your renders. I don't use it enough. 😆

Snap: Very clever idea!

@Everyone: Who here has Flickr?

@Operator I have Flickr, but I don't post very often, only when I make contest entries or renders. 😄

Nice render, but the scene is quite brightly lit from one side (see the purple and cyan rings) See how the lampposts have really harsh lighting on one side and the other side is in shadow? Ideally you want to use an area light, as those provide a good amount of light and give soft lighting to your scene. (also don't be afraid to use multiple lights to light up darker areas that need it) Because of the sun light, you've ended up with the orange reflection in the glass that hides the other figure behind it. (blue)
I think you've used the mecabricks render farm, an that really struggles with the denoise in clear parts. (blender struggles with that too, but you can have a higher sample count in that)
Composition is also super important for a satisfying render, If you can have an even amount of the model in the render (like the pink ring in the image, that area should have a small amount of the floor showing) Also, you see the red ring, you can't really see the minifig in that, so maybe a different angle or a slight adjustment to the render could go a long way. Search the "rule of thirds" into google and that gives a good way to arrange your scene.
I would also recommend that you keep the floor and background a similar colour to give it a more realistic look and use a colour that ISN'T one one you've used in your scene (e.g the lampposts and leaves clash with the background as it is a key colour in the background) I would probably use a blue-grey or an olive green colour for this scene.
Just a few tips! 😉

I just looked at dragon_rider's likes
She liked a model that was published 7 hrs ago

@Op: I have Flickr!

Gecko + G-man: Okay, nice.

Gecko: Wow, very comprehensive! I need to take into consideration those things more often.

EDIT: ". . . into consideration those things more often." Who am I, Yoda? 😆
I need to take those things into consideration more often. There. 😆

I really need to work on lighting myself. Geck, that was an awesome explanation!

I'm awake at 3:12 again. Yay.

Marina: Whoopie.

Whoopie indeed.

Yeah, if you guys ever want advice on renders, just send one to me!

Gecko: Will do. Thanks!
