This thread is for help with the MecaFace add-on, such as info about updates. I will be answering any of your questions and also solve any bugs that you get and more.
Hello, my name is Dane.
I just want to know one thing:
How do you add facial hair?
Is it possible to remove the eyebrows? Im trying to make Benny from the lego movie.
emmet too
does this work for Mac
Yes, I have a MacBook Pro 2020 (M1) and it works fine! Before that I used a 2012 Mac mini and it also worked great
really? because I don't know how to get the expressions on my figure for some reason
Has anyone tested MecaFace with Blender 4? From what I understand the pose library system has changed, and I wanted to check if everything was still working (or if it was going to be updated) before buying the add-on.
@vinivendra this is a development version of Mecabricks. It is very unlikely you will get any answers here. I would recommend using the released version https://mecabricks.com
Hey, so I’m working in Blender 4.1 with Mecabricks minifigs, and I’m using Mecaface for the faces. The thing is, the expressions come out as actual 3D objects that stick on the headpiece, so they cast shadows and don’t sit flat like in the popular YouTube animations (like LegoMe_TheOG). I’m trying to get that smooth, painted-on look for expressions instead of the 3D overlay. Any tips on how to handle this would be super helpful!
