I recently started to rewrite the flex tool from the ground. During this journey I also decided to do the same for the translate and rotate gizmos as well as other parts of the code. Some improvements are visual but lots of others are also under the hood like GPU memory optimization. I posted videos on YouTube the past weeks but if you didn't see them, here are a couple.

Hello.
Sorry for disturbing but I faced some problem yesterday. When I duplicate some flexible part it paint some weird colors and neither part nor camera can't move until placing new part or selecting one of the groups. One of the strange thing is that another user I asked to check this issue said he didn't experienсe such oddity. That should be my inadvertency, cause I rarely checking what was new in an update. I hope for your help.
I've tested and I'm experiencing the same. There are some errors on the console upon trying to move the selected part after duplication.
@SiMal
I'm experiencing a similar issue; flexible parts are either vanishing partly or tend to rotate in themselves, and then moving parts becomes impossible until placing new parts.
Edit: could instantly reproduce the issue. When clicking vertices/handles of flexible parts twice, they vanish partly. When duplicating those parts, the part won't move and the camera can't be rotated. As soon as I add another part, the camera instantly rotates when moving the mouse (without clicking/panning) and will stop only if LMB-clicking.
Edit 2: apparently, the "Selection duplicated" popup notification doesn't appear either.
Edit 3: it's currently stating a case of 36,052 uncaught TypeErrors... 😆
Thanks for reporting. You could have opened a special thread for this in the bug section.
Flexible parts cloning is fixed.
hey scrubs are you gonna add more stuff in the next update i need a thanos big fig because i'm building an mcu diorama
Just a little teaser for you today. The rendering mode is already capable to render animations and here is the first one fully created in Mecabricks (development version).

Another proof of concept, this time for the viewport. I have been playing with an advanced system and materials for real time rendering. Here is a video of my development version. I don't think that it has been seen before in a LEGO CAD software.

I started to work on the proper code to update the material system. It will bring lots of new features and open really cool possibilities. Basically everything you could wish to do will be possible.

I really can't see me using any other LEGO building software now, this is just so incredible
Thanks 😃 I am really looking forward to release this update. Still a lot of work ahead but no real road blocks now.
Another very short video of new stuff coming to Mecabricks
