Bricklink Stud.io: A new competitor to Mecabricks

Stud.io is a new LEGO CAD program being developed by Bricklink. It looks like it could possibly become the best ever. I just wanted the Mecabricks community to know about this interesting new development. Mecabricks still has the upper hand for me in its portability and the fact that I don't have to boot up my archaic Mac to play with a few imaginary LEGO bricks, but who knows where Stud.io might go... the App Store? Nothing about the article suggested it to me, but it's certainly possible...

What do you think? Where will it rank? Will it App? Will it even work? Let me know.

Yeah, I'm the one that enjoys coming up with the stories. 😃

@MalMan35 Those are pretty good. For some reason I couldn't get the "like" to stick on most of them I watched and it kept coming unchecked. My favorite was probably High-Speed Handcuffs. What software do you use for filming and editing?

I use Stop Motion Studio Pro and iMovie on an iPad.

This is way too late now, but I just wanted to say that I didn't like stud.io much. The only reason I used it was to import from LDD and render. But that was before I found MB. I recently refreshed my computer and didn't re-download LDD or Stud.io. 😉

I also feel like many of us here came from shady pasts 😉 such as Ldraw, LDD, and Stud.io, and I don't think anyone starting with Mecabricks is likely to switch to the others. Mecabricks is just so much better and more user friendly (I mean, stud.io is completely overwhelming with its amount of stuff!) Also stud.io has ALL parts on one teeny tiny scroll bar. Ouch. I couldn't even get to the parts I wanted 😦 )

Unlike the others, Mecabricks has a FUTURE!
