Some models can be tagged as official on Mecabricks and will appear in the Set Section of the library.
Those models will also be visible on external websites like brickset.com or bricker.info
Note that only one model per reference is allowed.
Anybody can submit models for review however there is no guarantee that they will be selected. Final decision is at the discretion of Mecabricks admins.
Useful and necessary guidelines. Many thanks.
Thanks a lot, that's very interesting 😃
one question, please : if a set is tagged as official without decoration and / or minifig. Is it possible to update this set with the previous missing stuff and is the official set on brickset is updated too ? I may say yes because it seems to be a link to Mecabricks model.
If the current approved model belongs to you and you update it (save and not save as), yes it will automatically appear modified on brickset. Player from the Mecabricks gallery is exactly the same as the one on Brickset. It calls the most recent revision of the model.
Ok, thanks 😄
Good idea posting this Scrubs!
Just wondering:
Why are more "action-posed" sets chosen over less "action-posed" sets?
Where are these on Brickset? Is this where those sweet 3D views come from?
@JD430w. Yes, when you click on the 3D VIEW tab on Brickset, it loads the Mecabricks model. Brickset retrieves the list of official models from mecabricks everyday . e.g. http://brickset.com/sets/10251-1/Brick-Bank
That's awesome. I love the 3-D view thing. I had no idea it came from somewhere, I figured it was just another feature like the color library or reviews. That's so cool!
Hi, with the Caterham set I'm having trouble aligning multiple hinges. After working on it for a long time, I thought I got it, but then when I put the hood on the hinge attached to wouldn't connect properly... Once I'm done it and put it up, could a set moderator (which are Scrubs and Zanna, but there may be more that I don't know about) help align it, or is it not that big of a deal? It'll wind up hidden anyways I think, but I'd like to know if it would be okay. 😃
EDIT: It is hidden, but could probably be fixed with a bit of work. I'll let the moderators decide when I upload it. 😉
It's been uploaded for a bit now, and it mustn't have been that big of a problem because it was flagged as a set. 😛
I'll have a look at that.
Is there any way to stop getting notifications for this thread?
Hi,
Does anyone check content/correctness/status of the uploaded sets. For instance doubled "Demolition Starter Set" http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/8bJ2bbJL2yB and http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/kLyjWOBGjJr - The title could suggest that this is complete official set (although there is no set number) as there is no list of missing parts. However, it is enough to look at https://brickset.com/minifigs/cty529/construction-foreman-shirt-with-tie-and-suspenders-dark-brown-legs-red-construction-helmet to see quite different decoration. On the other hand there are official sets that are waiting for months to be completed, such as http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/B9P2kDkQjon and http://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/3Lkj9GMdaAp (long list of missing parts/decorations) - they seem to be forgotten.
Question: What's the ruling on Dimensions Story Packs? Does the vehicle have to be made in the first form? Just wanna make sure before I submit the model.
Yes, better if it looks like what is on the front of the box.
I have a question. I want to publish a set from LEGO magazine, but can't find it on Brickset. How can I publish it?
You can only publish it as a moc if it is not available on Brickset.
Scrubs, if you need to place a part that is made of rubber in real life but cannot be "flexed" in Mecabricks, and the specific model has that piece flexed, what am I suppose to do there? Example: Part 45590
Place it as properly as you can.
