Is it possible to watch movie while not connected to an internet?

I'm not certain if this is the appropriate place to ask, but I was curious about how to watch movies offline without needing an internet connection. Any ideas on how to make that possible?

I usually download movies for offline viewing using StreamFox for video. It's super handy for grabbing videos from sites like Netflix, Amazon, and Disney and many others.
