(Well… I finally created a forum. There was no other place to geek out over cinema, so I thought I might make a forum for it. 😉)
One word: MOVIES.
Two more words: DISCUSS THEM.
Three more words: AND HAVE FUN.
THE RULES: (Please follow them…)
OPTIONAL: SOME DISCUSSION QUESTIONS! (With my answers given as examples!)
. What are your favorite movies? Geek out about them!
(Mine are Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Interstellar and The Matrix.)
. Are there any movies you hate? Complain about them!
(I detest The Star Wars Holiday Special, The Last Airbender and Cats.)
. Do you have a favorite actor, actress or director?
(Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton.)
. Do you have a favorite genre of film?
(I like many, but probably Sci-Fi!)
. Is there a specific movie scene that you enjoyed/moved you?
(Bing-Bong’s death from Inside Out made me tear up.)
. (Oddly specific) Are there any films that you wish would get turned into a LEGO theme?
(DreamWorks sets would be great, especially HtTYD or Kung Fu Panda!)
. Have you seen any good movies lately? Recommend them!
(Well…Edge of Tomorrow, obviously. XD)
Have any of you seen NWH?
I ain’t. (We aren’t vaccinated, and our theater won’t let us in… 😦)
I haven’t where I am you don’t need the vaccine to go to the movies, just haven’t had time I’ll probably see it Sunday
It was my brother’s Christmas present that he brought me to see it. It was pretty good. Tom Holland is an amazing actor, So is Benedict Cumberbatch, so they got the two best actors.
To bad the Book Club Forum isn’t actually doing anything right now, I can’t get anyone to make any decisions and half the people who joined have left MB. 😞
@SuperPup1- I agree with those favorite actors of yours although Patrick Stewart and Christopher Lloyd are two other good ones. Idk if they were on the list, but they are good.
LM - Yeah, those actors are great, too!
CP - 'Sup?
Have you watched Rogue One before? I bet you have because it’s been out for awhile.
Yeah, I’ve watched Rogue One! (It’s my favorite Star Wars movie: great cinematography, none of that tired “Chosen One” narrative, great Vader scenes, cool characters.)
Yeah, I agree.
Can we talk about no way home yet
I've watched it but unfortunately we can't yet we have to wait for wiz : /
@Bricks, not till Wiz says so. K?
Loved Rogue One.
Weird question, but if you could pick on book or book series to be adapted into a movie or movie series (or TV show), what book would you want, what medium, and would it be live-action, traditional cell-shaded animation, or CG?
I'd like to have the Dragons in our Midst series adapted to film and the Oracles of Fire series adapted into a TV show with a traditional style animation, whether anime or not. I just like 2D, kinda tired of the partly cloudy modelling clay look in CG. (Both those book series are in the same story world, btw).
my patience is running out unfortunately but ill try to wait
Well, The Terrible Two would be fun as an animated series!
And I’d like it if they made a movie of Speaker for the Dead, sequel to Ender’s Game. (They made Ender’s Game, but not SftD.)
I’d cast Benedict Cumberbatch as Ender… 😆
Hello all and Happy New Year!
I have not seen NWH and probably won't be going, but today I've seen Matrix Revolutions!!
Disappointing, to be honest... but still nice to see.
Rogue One was great, second best SW movie to me (after "Empire strikes back). I liked Solo too, contrary to lots of people, I guess... I would love to see a Solo 2 movie...
@GV, yeah, I enjoyed solo as well, your not alone there 😂
Hehe
#new page
Also, at the end of Solo, when she goes to see Darth Maul, I think they need to do something with that.
