(Well… I finally created a forum. There was no other place to geek out over cinema, so I thought I might make a forum for it. 😉)
One word: MOVIES.
Two more words: DISCUSS THEM.
Three more words: AND HAVE FUN.
THE RULES: (Please follow them…)
OPTIONAL: SOME DISCUSSION QUESTIONS! (With my answers given as examples!)
. What are your favorite movies? Geek out about them!
(Mine are Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Interstellar and The Matrix.)
. Are there any movies you hate? Complain about them!
(I detest The Star Wars Holiday Special, The Last Airbender and Cats.)
. Do you have a favorite actor, actress or director?
(Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton.)
. Do you have a favorite genre of film?
(I like many, but probably Sci-Fi!)
. Is there a specific movie scene that you enjoyed/moved you?
(Bing-Bong’s death from Inside Out made me tear up.)
. (Oddly specific) Are there any films that you wish would get turned into a LEGO theme?
(DreamWorks sets would be great, especially HtTYD or Kung Fu Panda!)
. Have you seen any good movies lately? Recommend them!
(Well…Edge of Tomorrow, obviously. XD)
is it weird I usually enjoy music from non-musical Disney films more than musicals
Nah, that makes sense. Most Disney musicals are overrated.
The best ones are Hunchback, Tarzan, TNBC and Hercules.
(Tarzan isn’t really a musical, per se… But the Phil Collins songs are amazing.)
yeah
but man, stuff like the turning red score Hits
Welp, after 4 years of waiting, I FINALLY watched Fantastic Beats: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
I’m not gonna lie… It was actually really good. I don’t understand where the bad reviews are coming from.
Everything bad about Crimes of Grindelwald—too many storylines, overly serious tone, plotholes related to the Harry Potter lore—Secrets of Dumbledore fixes. All the confusing content we had to deal with is explained in a satisfying manner.
There were so many jaw-dropping moments that genuinely shook me, and all the characters were done justice.
Madds did a surprisingly good job at replacing Johnny Depp. (I’m still mad about the boycott, though…)
Also, Tina was missing for most of the movie, which was weird since she’s one of the main characters.
I wouldn’t mind 2 more Fantastic Beasts movies—I like where the story’s going.
Overall, if you’re a Harry Potter Freak… I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Don’t want to get into controversy but poor Johnny depp
I also think that this one is the best of the trilogy!
Madds Michelsen is very good in his role (quite agree with B&B to be honest) even if I think that he "gives up" quite easily in the end (oops I should stop her, don't want to spoil of course). A few other things are "too easy" (cannot detail them here, I guess) but overall it helps the movie to go faster, so......
I also liked the setting in Bhutan, which is maybe THE destination that I would love to visit the most!! (but it's very expensive to avoid mass tourism like Nepal, so quite difficult to go there).
Plus, nice scenes in Hogwarts 😉
Build-A-Bear - Very true, but there’s nothing controversial about it.
Amber Heard is a witch, and deserves to burn. (Sorry not sorry…she’s awful. 😁)
Veers - I don’t know if it’s the best of the trilogy, but I was super happy with it. 😄
I saw Secrets of Dumbledore earlier today too, coincidence I think not
Also what they did with Dumbledore was dumb.
invincible is great
its gory
its scary
its touching
it has suspense
omni-man is the 2nd scariest character that jk Simmons ever played
I haven’t seen Invincible, or Whiplash. (I assume that’s the “scariest character” you were referring to… 😁)
I’ve heard that both are good, but super intense. Probably not for me…

I recently saw No Way Home. Was actually only my second Spidey movie 😆 It was pretty good!
@Fireblade28, what did you mean about his backstory?
Snap - Awesome! 😃 Also, Aunt May finally said “With great power comes great responsibility”, which had missing from the MCU in the previous movies.
Also, HOLY MOLY—Moon Knight is suspenseful! The season finale comes out in a week!! 😱
I wonder if Slim and Tall are watching it? And, if so, how they feel about the hippo? 😂
i love the hippo lady, man episode 5 was great
In case you didn’t get the joke, I was referencing THIS: 😆
I'm sure they'd make an exception for an Egyptian god
Also i just re-watched the Phineas and Ferb movie and I gotta say I was disappointed with the songs, Adulting was fun but the rest was Meh which is weird for a PAF movie
(also Adulting IS a real word)
Yeah. I was really disappointed by Candance Against the universe, too.
Dan P. seemed really excited about it, so I had my hopes set high. But, alas… 😦
