MOVIE DISCUSSION FORUM!
WizardBuilds1 started this discussion in Community

(Well… I finally created a forum. There was no other place to geek out over cinema, so I thought I might make a forum for it. 😉)

One word: MOVIES.
Two more words: DISCUSS THEM.
Three more words: AND HAVE FUN.

THE RULES: (Please follow them…)

  1. No foul language, even if you’re quoting a movie. (And YES, the minor words count.)
  2. I’d prefer it if you didn’t discuss Horror movies. (Particularly Slasher, Splatter or Posession.)
  3. Please don’t post spam. (Nobody likes a spammer…)
  4. This is technically a forum for movies, but you can also discuss TV Shows.
  5. If you’re one of those people who believe reading is the “only way”, and never watched a good movie in their life…
(Well, you may be asked to leave. XD)

OPTIONAL: SOME DISCUSSION QUESTIONS! (With my answers given as examples!)

. What are your favorite movies? Geek out about them!
(Mine are Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Interstellar and The Matrix.)

. Are there any movies you hate? Complain about them!
(I detest The Star Wars Holiday Special, The Last Airbender and Cats.)

. Do you have a favorite actor, actress or director?
(Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton.)

. Do you have a favorite genre of film?
(I like many, but probably Sci-Fi!)

. Is there a specific movie scene that you enjoyed/moved you?
(Bing-Bong’s death from Inside Out made me tear up.)

. (Oddly specific) Are there any films that you wish would get turned into a LEGO theme?
(DreamWorks sets would be great, especially HtTYD or Kung Fu Panda!)

. Have you seen any good movies lately? Recommend them!
(Well…Edge of Tomorrow, obviously. XD)

Yeah… But the psychology behind it seems really interesting.
A normal man with a vicious personality inside. He has to “keep the beast in”.
Should be a great watch!

On "MoonNight": It sorta looks like the tone I was expecting "Hawkeye" to have.

I watched "The Adam project" the other day, IMO it's pretty good. I'm beginning to notice a theme in the newest movies I've seen
(Encanto, Turning red & Adam project) that they are focusing more on internal rather then external conflicts.
I really liked "Encanto" IMO "Turning Red" seemed less well thought out, but I was surprised to see "Adam Project" taking a similar
root it felt unique (Going on a more father and son and self relationship)

Actually, Moon Knight is gonna be the exact OPPOSITE of Hawkeye…

Yeah. In the trailer there’s like this tree monster thing that he’s scared of. I’m SUPER excited that they’re bringing Oscar Isaac into the MCU as well.

How I was expecting "Hawkeye" to be (dark, at sum what). Because Hawkeye had just come out dark of his life.

I loved the first Puss, but I’m not very excited for this one. What’s up with DreamWorks lately? None of their stuff is creative anymore… 😦

Moonknight probably won’t be as dark as Dardevil.

Yes, they do be trash.

@SP- Yes, definitely.

Has anyone here seen the Marvel *Netflix shows?

*Not Netflix anymore.

SuperPup - BTW, my dad doesn’t know if I can watch Daredevil. How dark/violent is it?

Well… lets just say if he didn't let you watch the rest of Clone Wars then you probably wont be seeing Daredevil anytime soon.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is pretty good, but I would not recommend it to kids under 14-16 (depending on maturity because there are a lot of relationship scenes, mostly in the earlier seasons; also a LOT of blood and doctor scenes). Before you write it off, though, it was recommended to me by one of our Christian friend-families (the dad writes an epic Sunday School curriculum). Multiple characters are Christian or Catholic, which is awesome to see in the MCU.

Daredevil is heavily influenced by his Catholic beliefs, I've heard.

AoS isn’t MCU.
And yes Daredevil is Catholic.

Debatable, SuperPup, debatable. Evidence to the contrary: seeming lack of reference to the Snap.
Some overt references in the movies:
TAHITI process in Captain Marvel
"Ready to Comply" in Civil War

And it's impossible to deny the MCM has it somewhere. After all, they use time travel logic the same way that Endgame did, branches and variants and all that.

yay, were talking bout daredevil

Maybe AoS a realty that’s similar to MCU but not MCU. Daredevil is definitely MCU though.

SuperPup - My parents made me stop watching Clone Wars because “witchcraft”. But I’m allowed to see stuff with a moderate amount of violence.

Oh… wait but you saw Harry Potter

Flicking through comments on this forum BrickAndbread was talking about the CupHead show
I have the game (IT IS SOOOOOO HARD, but also good!!), but I've haven't seen the show yet

Looking forwound to watching it with my brother, but we are going to watch Amphibia series 2 first
