limit on number of bricks in one model

i have a file with a lot of minifigs. and since a few days some parts just get deleted. is there a limited amount of bricks you can place in one file
ore could there be a different reason??

No limits. Parts may only disappear if they are deleted from the database. Not likely for the official library but more likely if you use custom decorated elements from other users.
