I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly but every model I import into Blender seems to be gingantic compared to the scenes I'm bringing them into. And when I scale the model down it seems to degrade my renders quite a bit. Does anyone else deal with this issue?
This has been discussed in multiple places. Mecabricks uses mm units while default Blender unit is m.
Is that why the depth of field effect seems to not really work?
Blender is still really bad at handling units compared to other software. For some obscure reasons, DoF and physics are not affected by unit change. You still need to divide them by 1000...
What can I do to make the minifigs I import small?
Set the units in Blender to use mm not m.
