a few weeks ago, i published a model:

I've waited a few weeks, and i think it may be forgotten about.
I absolutely love your model. ❤️ But sadly only admins can choose models. 😞 But I can ask an admin if he could review your model. 😃
I have sent your model to B1Trash to review and this is the result.
This is a very well executed house. You did a great job, especially on the interior bits, which is probably where you spent most of your time. In contrast to a modular, the layout makes sense and has everything you need. I love that the rooms have closets and even the kitchen has a pantry. I love how well appointed all of your closets are, as well as the bookshelves and the media cabinet. The kitchen is well appointed and mad props for including the Star Wars Republic symbol on the cooktop burners! I love it. This house is really filled out and feels like someone could live here.
From a viewing standpoint, I think I'm missing out on all of your detail work. I'd think of the box art on an actual LEGO set. The front of a box shows the set put together and then the back has all the scenes broken out. I think you could do this by duplicating the floors and setting them off to the side, this way the viewer doesn't have to go into the workshop to see all the work that you did. Think about what you'd like to highlight... maybe a breakout of the roof construction or the master closet. There are parts I want to explore but I can't. Maybe a scene with the laundry room door open to show off your work. Speaking of doors, I'm not convinced they all need to be closed. This would give a viewer another possible angle to see into things. Not everything needs to be open though. For instance, I'd definitely leave the basement and hall closet doors closed. But I think I would open the bedroom doors and absolutely the slider to the closet in the blue bedroom to show off the interior. And if you're going to have doors open, I'd recommend swinging the bedroom doors into the room as opposed to the hallway. Another thing that LEGO does well is they set their scenes with posed minifigures. I think this helps boost the viewer's imagination and makes the piece feel more lived in and inviting.
There are some little things you can do here and there to tweak the model. I think one of the strengths of LEGO designs is drawing a good balance of consistency versus variation. Think of the furniture in your home. How much of it is the same design and materials. Generally within a room, things will match, but from room to room, there is variation.
Outside you did a nice job with the planter, varying the color of the plants from one to another. However, the plants nearest the door all have the same orientation. If you rotated them some to create variation like you did with the flowers, I think it would look more natural. Upstairs, the kids beds use the same model but they have different materials for the sheets. This distracts a viewer from the fact that you reused the same piece. Maybe do the same with their lamps to make it feel different. Downstairs, both sofas appear to have the same model and materials. Recoloring or slightly modifying the one in the media room may help alleviate the feeling of copy-paste. I think creating variation will give the model more interest and make it feel more realistic.
On the outside of the house, you have mostly a rectangular box with mostly flat sides and all the same color. I'm not sure what to do, but if there was some way to add a trim color or architectural details, it would make the exterior pop. I'm personally not a fan of the exterior color, but I'm assuming it was done to get the interior color you wanted. That is one of the compromises you have to make when building 1-brick thick walls. Again, adding trim or texture to the outside to break up the single flat wall would really bring interest to the outside. Because that is what will invite a viewer to look at the inside of the model.
I hope this is what you were looking for in a review. Again, this is an excellent model and I appreciate that you looked to me for a review. You obviously put a lot of work into it and it shows. Well done!
Cheers!
Hi, I just wanted to pop in and say that there are many types of admin privileges, and I do not have the type to review and choose models or renders for the front page. I was asked to review the model and misunderstood what the intention was. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully my feedback is still helpful. Cheers!
Wow! never had that detailed of a review on one of my models! Thanks! The reason it has so little detail on the outside was because I did the interior first and the outside was just walls, windows and the chimney. I added some things around the front and thought it looked good. And no, I wasn't looking to get it featured on the front page, just selected (you know, so it can be seen in the public gallery). Most of my models do.
I cant load one of my models into workshop. can anyone help me with this?
