How to cut strings?

so I'm making a battle field diorama and I want the string piece to show the bullets, but its too long, does anyone know how to cut them?

A feature like that is currently not in MB. So it means you can't cut strings in MB. You can look for a shorter string though. (Not sure if I wrote 'though' right 😄).
