Hey, this post is basically for Scrubs, not users 😛
I understand that creating new blocks is an awful lot of work and the "I want a block" topics pop up regularly.
I am terribly missing the empire stormtrooper helmet from the original trilogy (not just me as it seems 😛) hence the question: what conditions must the model meet in order for you to add it to the system? Extension, maximum number of polygons etc.
Also: I'm sure among users are many skilled moddelers, that would like to help You 😃

Do not hesitate to export a recent similar element from the workshop and import it in Blender (use zmbx as it is the only format with non triangulated raw meshes) to get an idea of what is required.

Are we supposed to apply the shader node tree ourselves or leave it blank like the examples in the How to model a new part thread?

@B1Trash This topic is super old and some of it is not accurate anymore. e.g. Common studs shall not be included in the mesh. Parts also require multiple uv layers to bake round edge normal texture, draw the mould lines and references, use as roughness/material masks and use decoration textures. I also created my own mesh exporter which now supports custom split normals and the weighted normal modifier.

I can see the br.png and understand how it works with the uv map to create the slope texture. That makes sense. I cannot see anything to do with the baked round edge normals though. I can see it on the model in Mecabricks, but when I download and use in Blender, I don't see it. I'm guessing it's because I use the Lite (free) add-on.
