Not sure if you can see that clearly, but what TheGecko said is the red joint is the wrist joint and the blue one is the finger joint.

Yep, exactly what I meant! idk if that was the problem, but the finger joint is the default one to be selected when you click on the hand brick, so it will automatically rotate around that point, unless you click on the origin point (orange circle) and then using the red circle in the image below, you can rotate the part around 4 axis:
