Can't you just click control a, duplicate the entire thing, and move the duplication? Is that what you need?

Uhh... That's what I described doing... unless that would make it opposite i guess. Maybe that only exactly mirrors it with symmetrical models.

like if I build half of the model and then duplicate it it will be either backwards or the same. If I made a wing for a dragon that is it's right wing, I was asking if I was able to mirror it to make a left wing.

Did you try duplicating it then use the rotation tool to completely flip it go back to the move tool and pull it away from the rest of the model
