I've just started learning Mecabricks and it's really enjoyable, but I'm struggling a little, I'm currently following along the 60245 instruction manual. I'm trying to find the part number 4142717 but I can't seem to search by number. Any tips on finding real life Lego pieces within the software?

You can use something like Brickset to find the set inventory. The part names there are the same as Mecabricks, so they should work when you search for them.
