Adding Official Decorations
B1Trash started this discussion in Parts and Decorations Design

Hello-

I'm new to making decorations but I figured I'd give it a shot. Your tools and guidelines for creating decorations are awesome and easy to use. However, as is common with noobs, I've got a few questions.

  1. I've seen in some threads that black for bricks is 101010 and black for prints is 010101, but the latter is not on the official color chart. Is 010101 a valid color for printed parts?

  2. I'm curious as to the current method of submitting decorations. I made a custom deco (Beskar Mandalorian) and found the approval tab and submitted for approval there. 2. Is submitting through the parts -> approval tab all I need to do?

  3. I'm a little confused on the Drop Box part... do I upload the textures there too? Or is it unnecessary with the built in tool now?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi, all you need to do now to submit parts is use the approval system, which is a lot easier than the old dropbox. With the new system for decorating parts, the only colour value you need for black is 010101. Hopefully this helps you, and feel free to ask any more questions you have.

Thanks for the reply XForce. I think I'm on the right path now. Cheers!

Remember to check and mention what parts you are workin on in the 'Official Decorations by Mecabricks Users' thread to avoid overlap 😃

Can do... I had no idea of that thread's existence. I already submitted Din in Beskar... sorry Brick, didn't realize you were working on it too.
