@Wiz, chokes on my cup of tea and stares dumbfounded at the computer screen
Oh no you did NOT!
I see you fail to comprehend the epicness Andrew Peterson has grafted into this world!
sigh
I can see your point though, my little sister goes on and on about a tv show she really likes, and it is quite annoying. 😂
@Wiz, be thankful, she didn't send Scout after you ✋ rest in peace KoE. 😔
(cough It's Scout . . .)
😂
😳 woops. must fix that.
So my mom teaches science at the Home School Network that runs every Thursday, (you guys might have noticed my absence) and this time for homework mom decided to make us write an email to a hypothetical missing student describing what we did 😂
Yo everyone I'm back!!
Ayyoooo welcome back DrP!
Wiz: I can understand if one likes the “theme” of TFATWS more than Loki, but Loki was still better (story/plot/character-wise) by quite a bit. But I agree with Knight, so far all the d+ shows have been somewhat disappointing.
D_R: Yup 😂, but Wingfeather is on par (if not better, TBH) than Narnia! It’s a true work of art, and, as such, is incomparable to the likes of Thomas the Tank Engine and The Bearenstein Bears. 😂 Though I can somewhat understand where she’s coming from, as I hold Ninjago in much of the same regard. 😆
DrP: Ey, nice to see ya, bro!
FB: Oof 😂 Was it from the missing student’s POV, or writing to the missing student about something?
@Operator, it was writing to the student about what we learned in the lesson so he or she wouldn't get behind 😂
@Op, concerning the Mandalorian I have to disagree. . . otherwise yeah your right
@Op, Yes! Definatly as good as Narnia, although to me, it's not better. C.S. Lewis is virtually unbeatable.
FB: Ah, I thought it was referring to a missing person case or something. 😂
(‘Bout Mando) I wasn’t including that in “d+ shows”, I was mainly applying that term to Marvel stuff, but I forgot that they made others for other fandoms too. 😂 My bad 😆
D_R: I see what you mean, Last Battle was much more deep than any of the other books, and they all lead up to it, so I see what you mean. Still, it’s less dramatic in many ways than Wingfeather, and I think emotional drama is a high point of Wingfeather for sure. But you’re not wrong, C.S. Lewis’s work as a whole is just amazing. Have you read his Out Of The Silent Planet trilogy? I’ve read the first two books in it, they are absolutely phenomenal, you outta check them out if you can.
Op - (My turn to get upset. 😂)
“Disappointing?!?” The Disney+ TV shows were MIND-BLOWING!! (At least Loki and WandaVision… 😉)
Also, I recall you saying you never actually watched them. 😏
Maybe YOU need to lie down, subscribe to Disney+, and enjoy yourself some LokiVision. 😏 pats Op on the head diminutively 😂
D_R - They’re enjoyable books! (I’d give ‘em 4/5 😉) But you have to realize that there’s other, better books out there. 😄
Ever heard of:
Harry Potter, Ender’s Game or Life of Pi?
No? What about A Series of Unfortunate Events, I Am Legend or The Book Thief?
Interesting… 😂
@Wiz, Actually . . . I have heard of some of them. My friend is a Harry Potter megafan and I get a lot of HP. Never read it, though. I have to wait until I'm older. A Series of Unfortunate Events is brilliant, as are Lemony Snicket's other series, All the Wrong Questions. I read The Book Thief two years ago for school, and loved it.
None quite top Wingfeather, though. 😂
I've only read a few books/series that top/are on par with Wingfeather. Little Britches Series by Ralph Moody, Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, The Green Ember Series by S.D. Smith ect.
Rant = over.
D_R - Good for you! Book Thief ROCKS! 😃
But Little Britches tops Wingfeather for you? 😕 (I didn’t think it was that great, honestly. 😁 Like an alternate version of the Sarah, Plain and Tall series…)
Lastly, you have to wait until you’re OLDER to read Harry Potter? (Aren’t you like, 16? 😄)
As long as your family can handle the “magic” stuff, any teen could read the series and be fine. 😉
(Aside from a few Star Wars-style resurrections with dark magic, most of it’s just kids making feathers float and petting magic creatures. 😃)
D_R - Also, you mentioned your sister liked a TV Show? I’m curious, which one? 😃
@Wiz, I just love the story of Little Britches, and the fact that it is autobiographical.
Yeah, almost 16. My friend says there isn't really any "bad" magic, but my dad doesn't like all the wizards and witches stuff. I can see where he's coming from, honestly.
I don't mind, not in any hurry to read them.
She's obsessed with a '70s tv show called The Waltons. It's about a family living in Virginia during the Great Depression. I like it because there's like 11 people in the family, so it's the same as my family 😂
But she goes on and on about one of the characters . . .
D_R - Yeah, that’s fine. Every Christian family has a boundary or opinion, and I wasn’t trying to shame you. 😉
However, if I could recommend ONE book series to you, Potter would take the cake. 😏
This cake, specifically: 😂
@Wiz, Yeah, I know. I do want to read them for their writing value though 😉. Considering they're so good, there must be plenty for one to learn!
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that whoever wrote on that cake spelt "Happy" and "Birthday" with Es but left "Harry" with a Y????
