DrP: No, Han's not the king of Alderaan, neither is Leia the Queen of said Alderaan. Well, that may not be entirely accurate. With Alderaanian politics, they have a Queen, in Leia's case, her mother, and a Viceroy, the Queen's husband. In Leia's case, Bail Organa. The Viceroy is also the Senator for the planet. Since Alderaan was destroyed, Leia is not the queen of anything, but if it wasn't, Leia would be the Queen after her parents died, and (if she still married Han) Han would be the Viceroy of the planet, which we all know he wouldn't accept. 😂

@Lax, They are?!

@Forge, I’m surprised those movies even made it past the script read. They form no cohesive story, each is like it’s own story about the same characters.
The writing is terrible in those films. Jar Jar Abrams making Palpatine come back is the laziest writing I have ever seen. Instead of trying to create a new villain, or anything original at all, he just decided to bring Palpatine back from the dead WITH NO EXPLANATION!!
And another lacking part of the sequels was Rey’s character. She’s just this Mary Sue who goes around doing everything right. There’s no conflict, there’s no obstacles she has to overcome, it’s just “oh look, the force can fix this! Awesome!” There’s literally nothing to her character. No arc, no development, nothing. Every problem she has, Boom, she fixed it. And that makes her a very boring character to watch. Take for example the Rise of Skywalker when Palpatine asked her to join him. He’s like “come to the dark side!” And there is no reason why she should. All throughout the movie, she has just been on the light side. There has been no conflict with the dark side. And when she used the dark side of the force, she thought she killed her friend! So why would she want to join Palpatine?! As soon as he says that, the audience knows she won’t join him. Then she doesn’t.

Oh boy, another essay long post 😂

MB: Yep.

This is why I like Cal Kestis much more as a character.

Let's be honest. Rey has the rare Force ability of Psychometry... that means she picks up memories from touching objects. What's her first lightsaber? Only the saber of Anakin Skywalker, also used by his son...

Anyway...

Ooh, I've seen that!
Although, I would dispute the Psychometry power. It's been a while since I watched the sequels, but I don't really see evidence for the Psychometry.

Exactly... (I've never seen any farther than Episode VII and I intend to keep it that way. I'm fine with spoilers though)

The only time I believe it's "seen" is when she picks up Anakin's saber.
And even then it's not memories, it's a vision.

You've heard of Wanda Vision... Now Rey Vision!

(RANDOM)

Why does everyone know all these facts about the Rebublic and not the First Order?

Op, As you stated, Leia is Queen of nothing, which is true. BUT If you put things MY way, All hail Queen Leia, Queen of certain space rocks and space dust!
XD

Anybody heard the rumors of George Lucas retaking Star Wars!?

@DP: We weren't talking about the Republic. Clarification please?

DrP: As G-man said, we weren't talking about the Prequel Trilogy. And I don't think that there's a ton to know about the First Order, anyway, the Empire was much, much cooler.

Sith Empire was even cooler!

MB: That's a great point, about Rey having no point at all to join the Dark Side. Anakin wanted to save his wife's life, Luke wanted to be with his father, etc, but Rey just has no reason at all to do so besides curiosity.

Stingrays don't have any powers...

I was literally laughing when I read all this 😂

No, I wasn't talking about this forum, I was talking about comments I keep seeing.

Ahh.
Probably because, similar to what Op said, the lore of the Republic is much deeper and more interesting than the First Order.
The First Order is really just your run-of-the-mill bad guys with no respect for tactics.
