When I started, the coaches really didn’t explain things so I didn’t know where to go, and the teams weren’t divided so I really didn’t know who I was playing with and against. When I kicked the ball people thought I had kicked it really hard. The part that bothered me was that someone was pretty close to my brother and they kicked the ball right at him, which he then got the wind knocked out of him. He could barely breath or walk. But my team just kept on playing like nothing happened. Other than that..it was okay. Though it’s pretty cool that everyone there is homeschooled..

Okay, so, I was going on that trip to NC, and we had planned in well before I new about the job opportunity at Igloo. I went to the interview at Igloo with the mindset of, "I can get this job if I can have that time off". At the interview, I told two people and they said I would have to talk to my supervisor... but I was able to request the time off online... well day one rolled around and I never even met my supervisor... to be honest, the management stank. I was very uncertain as to what I was going to be doing, and I ended up working alongside some Hispanic men who didn't speak english, I also had to borrow one of their tools because the management didn't give me the right one O_o... I hardly new what I was doing, what to expect, and what I was allowed or not allowed to do. Also, I had been told that they would provide me with a large water jug... so I brought no water to drink while I was working... which turned out to be bad... because you're working your tail off in a factory that can be over 100%... well, the reason it was bad was because they didn't provide me with the jug until like, 2, 3, maybe even 4 hours after I had started working O_O... I was not impressed, and the machine broke down like 2 hours before the shift was over... and by the time we got it running again they just said to wait until our shift was over to turn it back on, or at least that's what I gathered from how things were going... I couldn't understand what they were saying... I speak very very little Spanish. Also, my time off got rejected... so I went home knowing that I was going to have to probably quit, because I was going to NC no matter what 😆... it was on my list WELL before this job was. Anyways, I had one more work day before the trip, but I didn't want to go. My dad encouraged me to request it again, telling them that I'd have to quit if they didn't let me, and to go back... also, I figured out my graduation was also on a work day 😂... so I had to request that time off as well... (Oh, and though I didn't request it, I'm also going to have to get my wisdom teeth pulled this summer... which would be a few more days off work 😂)... anyways, I went back... things were a little better... and I was told that they might be able to work it out if my time was not rejected again by my supervisor who I still hadn't met O_O. Anyways, I got through the day... went home... and that weekend left for NC. Well, I was supposed to arrive at work that very day, at 6😮0 AM... but I didn't get the notif that my time had been rejected again until like 1:40 PM... I don't know why they didn't let me know I 'couldn't' go several days in advance, they had 2 whole days to do it, and then didn't even let me know until after I was out of state! O_o... Really, management was not the best... and so I'm not working for them anymore 😂. I was not happy though, because before I started work they made it very clear that we would have lots of help, and yeah, I was helped and shown what to do... but they really gave a much better impression about everything than reality was.

So, moral of the story... don't work at a factory... and if you do, don't apply for the job until after all your trips and what not are over... they don't care about you that much, they just want your help. Which is understandable, but hey... you're working with people, maybe be a little more... I don't know...

Note though that if the trip was something that had come up after I had already had the job, I would not have quit. I got the job with an understanding that I would be able to go... but I never really was able to express that... and so things got messy O_o...
