I really like the new inventory tree!
But I miss the context button that let me add selected parts to a group.
Now I select those parts and drag them into the group which is basically okay... but sometimes that tree gets VERY large and finding and then dragging them from the end of the list to a group on top takes ages 😉
Or some of the selected parts are within groups within groups... it takes some time to find them to finally drag them to another group.
Is there a function I am missing? Or could you add something, that puts selected parts in another group faster (maybe that old context menu)?
Workaround: when I have selected the parts, that I want to move into an existing group, I group them first. That way I have them near the top of the inventory tree and it's easier to drag and drop them into other groups. Afterwards I delete the temporarily group.
Hello, like you noticed, it is currently not always easy. Hopefully I will find an elegant solution in the future to improve that aspect.
I second this suggestion. An icon +/- next to the group name that will add or remove the currently selected part(s) would be perfect if the underlying code could handle that. It will make model organization must fastener.
yes, that would be perfect @kriegaa
