7. The farmer stares at this problem for little over 20 hours, his brain buzzing, trying to figure something out. Finally it clicks. So he takes the chicken across the river and leaves it there. Then he goes back for the seed. When he is on the other bank loading the seed into the boat, he sees the chicken taking a nice little stroll away from the bank. So in a fluster he takes off with the seed to catch the chicken. He drops the seed on the shore and carries the chook back towards where the fox is so quietly waiting, his beady eyes glued to the chicken. So the farmer ties the chicken up to a tree so it won't escape again, then he places the fox in the boat and rows across the river. He leaves the fox with the seed and goes back for the chicken. They all make it the the other shore and live happily ever after.
