I'm very new to this so there's every chance I'm not doing something right, but I can't figure out the issue.
I'm attempting to connect two boat pieces together, "Ship Stem" and "Ship Middle S".
I'm using three Connector Pins With Friction on the ship stem, one in each far pin slot along the X axis, and one in the centre.
Whenever I attempt to use the snap tool to connect the right hand pin to the right hand slot on the Ship Middle part, it rotates the "Ship Middle S" part 180 degrees to almost completely clip through the Ship Stem.
The same happens if I attempt connecting the left pin to the left slot.
This means that the two boat parts are no longer alligned.
The only way I'm able to get it to function is by connecting the centre pin to the centre slot, and the two boat parts are still completely clipped over top of eachother.
As I say I'm still fairly new to this so I'm unsure if this is a bug or something that's just meant to be corrected with the rotation tool (which is what I've been doing), thanks for any advice and apologies if there's an easy fix I've overlooked.
I am not 100% sure but I think I have had that same situation before, just with different parts. This often happens when I try to put an accessory in the hand of a mini-figure. When that happened I tried moving the part you want to snap to somewhere else, de-selecting it, and then click on the exact spot you want it to snap to. These exact spots appear in orange when you hover your mouse over the piece, and turn green if you click on them. If that doesn't work, I just use the rotation tool (m) even though it doesn't get the piece exactly where it should be. I hope that was helpful.
Use the arrow keys to rotate your clipping part.
