Sketchfab

Hello scrubs I am trying to export my model into sketchfab but I am having problems. When I import my model into sketchfab my materials become transparent rather than the colors I want them to be. Sketchfab support said that it is a problem on Mecabricks side. Any idea on how to fix this.

3D formats like OBJ and DAE do not fully support the Mecabricks material system. I only export what I can. Also remember that the Mecabricks license doesn’t allow to redistribute assets exported from Mecabricks and therefore it is not allowed to upload the files on other platforms. I tolerated it with Sketchfab in the past and even had an exporter a long time ago, however I do not anymore especially because some users allowed the models to be downloadable without including any form of reference to Mecabricks or licensing. Besides I even found people selling Mecabricks assets directly in the shop there.

Remember that the model design belongs to you if you created it but not the 3D assets and textures.

Ok. Thanks

What if I export my model into blender 2.8 and then find a way to create my own textures and materials and then import it into sketchfab.

Also one last thing. Are you going to update the library and add more Minifigures like Steppenwolf, Darkseid, and Doomsday from the D.C. Universe?

Even if you create your own textures, the 3D parts you apply them onto remain Mecabricks property and are still subjected to the license.

I am sorry about that

The link you gave me is the exact example of what not to do!
You redistributed the Mecabricks assets which is forbidden by the Mecabricks license that you agreed to the first time you exported from the workshop.
You also allowed to download the model from sketchfab and the Creative Commons license is applied.
Please take it down.

I have deleted it.

I will never do that again
