I've played around with the animation editor and I found the nodes a lot easier and more interesting to use than I was expecting. Some nodes and functions which I think would be useful are a setting which controls part colours and a setting which can show and hide parts. I don't know anything about how it's coded, so I don't know whether this would be possible or not.
The first step was to make the system work. This is almost achieved.
The second part will be to add nodes. The selection is currently limited but ultimately there will be a lot more of them to cover a wide range of applications including the ones you stated.
Thanks for responding, I'm really enjoying playing around with different nodes and I can't wait to see what comes next.
I've been trying more animations and I have some ideas regarding cameras. It would be cool if there was a setting which could lock the view to cameras in the 3D player and nodes which could change which camera is active. I have no idea how the code to implement these would work and if they would be realistically possible, but hopefully my suggestion is useful.
That is something that I had in mind. Or at least using cameras in the 3D player.
