Does every color in Mecabricks work on any piece? If so, how do I know which pieces in which colors do not actually exist?

You cannot. It is almost an impossible task. Websites like Brickset or Bricklink which are specialised in that could provide a good help.
Thank you. I have been using Bricklink but was wondering if there was an easier way.
