Is there a way to make sure parts in certain colors are actually produced?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice on colors. As far as I get it, colors that are shown in the default palette should in general be available, whereas colors that appear upon checking the "legacy" box do exist, but are no longer produced by Lego. So far so good.
But I can assign any color to any part, right? However, I doubt that e.g. the plant parts were ever produced in dark grey... is there a way to check if a specific part is available in a specific color?

No, that is not possible. It would mean entering the data and keeping everything up to date. It is 1000s of elements in 100s of colours. I do not have the resources for this. As a solution, you can check in the bricklink library which is attempting to do it.

Ok, I will try to check bricklink - thanks!
Nice work by the way, I just recently started using mecabricks and find it super nice!
