Rendering Questions in Blender 2.79 (Minifigures don't have textures and How do I make bricks glow?)
legohero7711 started this discussion in Help and Tips

Some minifigures in blender dont appear with textures in the final render. The decorated parts just become white. Also, is there a way to make bricks glow in blender? I want a transparent part to still look transparent, but glow in the inside. Whenever I try to put a light point inside of it, either nothing happens or the entire build glows. I tried setting the volume of the part to emission but it is difficult to see that the part is transparent. Something like the transparent pieces in this : https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/165 is what I'm looking for. I know the guide may be a bit outdated, but is there still a way to get a similar result? (With a different model, of course) Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend using Blender 2.8 instead 2.79. Then you can download the free or pay version of the mecabricks add on for Blender which will do all of this for you.
