I am using the latest mecabricks lite version as well as blender 2.81a, but I keep receiving the same error message.

Any help?
I believe this error is due to the fact that you are in edit mode. Make sure that you are in object mode before importing.
oh haha I feel so stupid. I obviously should have tried that. I don't have access to my main PC so I will try again when I get a chance.
Thank You
When I get on blender I can export a ".dae" file perfectly fine, but is missing its textures. I have also tried the Mecabricks format, but it wont show up on my Blender import menu. And advice on either of these?
The Blender add-on only works with the .zmbx files. If the option doesn't appear in the import panel in Blender it means that you did not install the add-on correctly. Refer to the PDF found in the zip archive downloaded from mecabricks.
