Rendering Section Rules

Mecabricks is not an image sharing platform. Each artwork posted shall be carefully crafted and well composed. The purpose of this section is to showcase your best work only. Always favour quality over quantity.

Acceptable Entry Content

  • You must be the original creator of all images you submit. You may not submit an image made by, or on behalf of, someone else unless you have the authorization.
  • When using a background image, ensure that you have the appropriate rights. For instance, images from Google Image may be subject to copyright.
  • Image can only be posted once. If it is relevant to multiple models, carefully choose one only.

Entry Quality Standards

  • Image shall be computer generated using Mecabricks online render mode or any other third party 3D software like Blender. Screenshots from the Mecabricks workshop are not allowed.
  • Image background shall not be transparent.
  • Image shall bring something special to the 3D model.
  • Image shall be related to the model it is posted in.
  • Image shall not depict minifigures only unless there is something special that shall be explained. Adding a couple of bricks in the background is not considered a waiver.
  • Image resolution shall be greater than or equal to 1920x1080.

Moderation

  • Any images not following the rules will be deleted without any warnings.
  • Images do not disappear. If a render has been taken down by an admin do not post it again.

External services

To showcase images not following the Mecabricks rules for the render section, you have the possibility of using external hosting services like imgur.com which doesn't require any account. Upload your image and copy and paste the BBCode provided in a Mecabricks comment. It shall look like the following:

NVM, i see what you mean, u can see the "square", that the floor is

so is that the reason it may have gotten taken down?

Yes in addition to the resolution

So then how do i make resolution better?

why do my renders keep disappearing from my builds? I have read through this forum and I don't see anything that could possibly be wrong with them

If you can post an image on this thread, someone will be able to give you feedback. Cakery gave instructions for how to do this on the previous page (page 15).

and how do I post images to the thread? 😕

nevermind I will just deal with it

(psst, small thing: I am a male)

I stand corrected!

@Scrubs Hi, sorry to bother you…but something is wrong. I literally cannot render. The renderfarm is online, and other people are posting renders too. So I know it’s just me. I’ve tried absolutely everything. I’m using the latest software, I’m not using any credits or functions that require them. My render button is just greyed out.

Sorry, FireStryker, that just means that the renderfarm is offline. Other people are most likely using a third-party rendering software such as Blender. Hope this helps!

Another alternative is that people are uploading renders that they rendered before the renderfarm went offline, but haven't been uploaded before, though half of the renders seen on the front page don't comply with the rules here.

This might not apply, but someone has done an inappropriate render on my work and I can't get rid of it, any help? its on my Willys Jeep

There is not a feature to remove renders on your model from other people.

so I worked all day yesterday on this, just trying to figure some stuff out with the fire quick effect, but it taken down shortly after I posted it, I guess it's because it need something more special, but if not, can someone tell me? I just work a lot on it, (I'm still a bit new to blender) https://i.imgur.com/sIES1Rh.png

@KoA,
I'm pretty sure that minifig only renders are not allowed, though Scrubs did say that technical examples (such as changing the material to stone or something) are allowed.
Btw, I'd love to learn how to make fire in blender, can you PM me what you learned?

ok, I was guessing, thank you! (I got those PMs to you)
