Can I help with the minifigure decorations?
despo20 started this discussion in Parts and Decorations Design

Hi,
I created the decoration for the torso of the 90's space police minifigure (973p69).
I reported it in the "Decorations" post in the General Discussion section, but it's probably the wrong place.

Is there a procedure to follow to make decorations that you can use for the parts library?
I followed what I found in this section but it isn't clear to me where I should upload the png files and eventually the psd files, if you need them.
I have a pretty good knowledge of Photoshop and would like to help you complete the collection of old minifigures.

Thanks in advance 😉

Hello despo20,
Mecabricks is in the middle of a big transition for the part specification and the part library, however you can already submit new decorated elements in the part section. You shall create a custom part first that you can then submit for approval.
Make sure that the textures follow the latest specs described here.

Thanks a lot for the answer Scrubs.
I tried to create a custom part but I ran into this error. I certainly did something wrong but I don't know what.

That is because you didn't set up the decoration. Once you have entered the configuration name, you need to load it to have access to the other options. Click on the search button located on the left hand side of the field. Have a look at this video for a practical example:

The video is really clear, where did you hide it? 😄
I created the torso and the torso assembly and I'm waiting patiently for approval 😃
I hope the texture is correct. Thank you very much for your time!

No worries.
I cannot see it in my list. Did you submit it?
