How do people make custom parts on mecabricks?

Can someone please tell me how people shorten pieces and other things like that?

You can’t do this in Mecabricks, you need to use a different 3D software, like blender.

How do I make custom prints? Do I have to have blender, or is that an option on mecabricks?
