How do we activate drag and drop mode?

I was wondering how we switch to drag-drop- and snap mode like in ldd or stud.io . I find using the arrows extremely annoying and tedious. Mecabrick's current snap mode is better, but LDD's snap mode is easier and quicker to use. How do we switch to that? I really wish it was the default.
