Hi!!
I'm new over here and I have a question that problably has been already answered but I didn't find it so my apologies in advance.
I'm exporting in all the available formats a simple brick (number 3002) but I noticed that it doesn't has UV's. Is it a bug or prehaps there are not uv's availabe for the single brick?
Thanks so much!
Bricks not decorated do not include any uvs.
You must export a decorated version instead like 3002d1 or 3002d2.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm making a modular lego city into Unreal Engine, I started with a procedural shader case study for the bricks, one for each kind of material (plastic, metal, chrome...) with some custom features like dust, scratches or finger prints in order to replace the incoming ones. I made a triplanar projection shader in Unreal to avoid to create the uv's per brick but I need them for the light maps as well.
Probably the city will be huge and I will have to move a lot of assets from blender to Unreal. Anyway I have a B plan, create a script in Blender to iterate each piece and make automatic mapping but.. I guess it's a little bit overkill.
Any suggestion?
Thanks!
Hello! I am also working to bring Mecabrick builds to unreal engine and I am also struggling when importing into unreal I get errors concerning the UV's and I was wondering if either Dbastidas or scrubs has had any breakthroughs or solutions to avoid UV'ing each brick?
