I think it would be really wonderful to have an option where a user can adjust the view anyway they want, and then to be able to lock the viewport, to prevent it from moving at all.
Would this be possible?
How exactly would you use that?
There will be camera objects added to the workshop in a close future.
Well, if we wanted to use Mecabricks for a stylized look, to make building instructions, it would be nice to have that option to prevent the camera from moving when making the various steps.
So that is what the camera objects will allow.
Meanwhile a workaround could be to use View/Reset (Numpad 0)?
@Scrubs - Cool beans!
@MVi - Interesting suggestion. The only problem with that for me at least is that if I have a big model, some of it gets cut-off on the lower corner. And then I would have to zoom out and re-adjust the angle.
Another option is to set the camera angle in the render section to where you want to be looking at the model from, then untick the box labelled "lock camera to view". Then, whenever you want to go back to that camera angle, just enter and then exit 3d rendering.
