Kpillay5 started this discussion in Official LEGO® Sets and Parts

Hi, after I'm done with my design, will i be able to get a list of all parts by quanity, colour and size in the design so that i can then procure the parts easily or is this a manual process? Regards

Yes, when you open your model in the Library, below the viewer are tabs. One is named "Inventory".

But how can I find the part list for my own models? Is it possible to have it in the workshop?

Here are details:
https://www.mecabricks.com/en/forum/topic/401

In short, you can either make your model public, and then choose the "Inventory" tab in the viewer.
Alternately,

"For your own private models, use the url:
http://www.mecabricks.com/inventory/bricklink/{MODEL_ID}.zip
where MODEL_ID is the 11 chars alphacode of your model."

Why are alot of sets for Minecraft,City Police, Star wars, etc. And a lot of the parts are missing like the lego minecraft iron golem head and villager, also the zombie pigman. When i search for a part in the search bar I have a hard time finding it.

I love this website but it needs somethings fixed. Please add a section maybe under the section that says "custom parts" that shows all of the parts in the workshop even the different variety of some parts and you could just scroll through it.

Thank you

@HuskyWolf_YT, The reason why alot of parts are missing is because everything on mecabricks is made by enthusiasts on their own spare time. To add a new part takes many hours of modeling, specially rare parts, heads that don't have the common head shape etc. Most parts are modeled by Scrubs(the father and mastermind behind Mecabricks) and his dedication for Mecabricks is more then admirable. There are more admins who add decorations for excisting parts but as I said, everything is made for free on their spare time.

Like every other program there is a small learning curve with Mecabricks, but after using it for some days i belive you'll start to learn where to find parts.
There is currently only possible to find out in which category a part is located if you search for it in the old partmanager, https://www.mecabricks.com/en/parts
I will suggest to Scrubs to add a the same function in some sorf of way for the new partmanager aswell.

Oh Thanks

hey, It's really hard to manually count parts in the editor, especially with bigger models. I saw a solution earlier, but it won't work. could you possibly make it so that you can get a view of all part types + number of parts, or just make it easier to see all parts?
