Problem with Rendering Images
Bricked1980 started this discussion in General Discussion

Hi everyone, I've been trying to render some images of a model I've created but am having problems.

When I flick in to render mode my model loses all its colour and just appears like a black silhouette against the grey workshop background. The rendered images turn out ok, it's just the view in the workshop that looks like this and it's impossible to line up the camera to get the renders I want when all the colours have turned black.

In Design mode the model looks fine and all the colours look as they should do. I've rendered pictures many times in the past and this problem has only appeared recently. I am using Mecabricks in Google Chrome.

Can anyone offer any advice? I'm guessing it's one of the settings that needs to be altered but I can't figure out which one.

It means that the HDRI image which is used to light the scene is not loading or that you disabled HDRI lighting in the panel (or that exposure is set to 0). Custom lamps are not supported yet in the viewport. It shall be one of the first focus of 2019.

Thanks very much for getting back to me @Scrubs. I think I've worked out that the issue might be due to my hardware not really being powerful enough. I am using Windows 7 and I noticed that if I alter the setting to HDRI in the viewport everything goes black in both the design and 3D rendering views.

I played around with the settings and found that if I turn off hardware acceleration in Chrome then it does display the colours correctly. Only problem is that MB runs very slowly on my computer if I don't have hardware acceleration enabled.

Are there any plans to enable the option to switch between "HDRI" and "Studio" view when in the rendering mode? This would be useful for people like me who don't have very up to date computer systems.

Hello,
Which browser do you normally use? Could you check if there are any error messages in the console when you switch to HDRI? I will try to find a solution.

I'm working on Google Chrome. I've checked the console but no error messages are showing up. It does however list some warnings. I've pasted an example below...

[.WebGL-0000000005EBA370]GL ERROR :GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION : glDrawElements: framebuffer incomplete (check)

This is not my area of expertise at all so not sure what this even means or whether it's relevant.

I normally use MB on my PC in my office running Windows 7. Last night I tried it on a different computer running Windows 10 and it worked perfectly so I'm wondering if the problem is with my dated version of Windows 7.

Which processor has been used while rendering the images ?? Visit https://errorcode0x.com/resolve-steam-error-code-80/ to know more about it.
