Parts rotate when relocate using Transform Panel
NGCHunter2 started this discussion in Bug Reporting

This happened with several parts by now, so I'm going to post this here.
Duplicating specific parts [D] and using the arrow keys to rotate them 180° may result in them being rotated when relocating them using the Transform panel. The bug won't occur when rotating the parts using rotation mode [M].

Note that the rotation value for the part on the Transform panel says 49° although being rotated perfectly 180°!

The same bug happened on part 3039 as well, and I had it for other parts I didn't note down.

Specs (maybe they're cruical): latest Windows 10 and Google Chrome version.

Any news on this? Still happens for about every 10th part, and it's quite annoying to be honest. 😕

Hello,

I cannot replicate the start of it yet (incorrect value in the transform panel).

Rotation displayed in the panel is the issue. RY shall display 0 instead of 49 in your example.
When you apply the new transform, values are read from the fields and therefore it applies RY=49 instead of 0. So from here that is normal.

PS. I got an eye injury last week and I am just starting to recover my sight. So coding with one eye was not really an option.

Thanks for the answer!
Yep, I noticed the 49° value as well. A little bit of further info: Using the arrow keys to rotate the part (transform panel reads 49°), deselecting the part then reselecting it will show properly 0° then; so the bug seems to have to do with what rotation value the readable transform panel gets, not the actual rotation value (for the part would read 49° after reselecting and would actually be rotated that angle), I guess (as a noob non-coder 😁).

Also, sorry to hear that. 😕 I didn't want to be pushy or something. Wish you a good recovery!
