I set up Blender, the Mecabricks add-on, and the Blender Lite template on my new computer, but when I try to import a Mecabricks.dae file, it gives me an error message that reads,
Report: Error
Traceback (most recent call last);
lists 4 file locations
KeyError: ‘bpy_prop_collection[key]: key “3069d55.png” not found’
location: <unknown location>😶1
It imports several of the parts from my file in, but not the whole thing. It only did this on the first one I tried, so I might have extracted the .zip file wrong. Has anyone ever seen this before? I can provide images if need be, but as I was writing this I figured out how to do it in a way that doesn’t cause that to happen. Mostly I just want to know, is that a extraction problem or did I set up Blender wrong?
Thanks in advance.
It means that it could not find the image file. The folder containing the assets as well as the .dae file shall not be moved to ensure relative paths are not changed.
I think I dragged the .dae file out of the .zip instead of extracting it the right way.
Yes what is important is to have the folder containing the textures at the same location as the .dae file. If you only extract the .dae file, it cannot work 😃
