I encountered that the "Invert Selection" tool [Ctrl + I] does not work with groups properly. Selecting a group and hitting [Ctrl + I] won't deselect the group.
This will happen also if single elements and groups are selected together; hitting [Ctrl + I] then will deselect the single elements, but not the groups.
Encountered on latest Chrome version, Windows 10.
I think the group needs to be locked?

Locking it works, but I can't see a reason why an unlocked group should behave like this.
It is extremely inconvenient to lock and unlock a group each time you want to select the inversion, so I don't see the reason it should be a feature to be honest. 😕
I know and I can only agree with you! Hopefully @Scrubs can find a solution for it soon.
