Shadow Catcher in Blender
LukeSkywalker started this discussion in Model Export and Render

I was wondering how to do the shadow catcher option in Blender, in which only the shadows are rendered. I imagine it would be in the materials tab, but I can't find it.

Also, I was wondering how to do the circular plane with the faded edges in Blender? Thanks.

It's in the Object tab, under Cycles Settings. 😃

Not sure about the faded edged plane though, the way I'd do it would be to generate a circle that fades out, and use an alpha background. Then apply it using an image texture node. 😉
