I just came up with an idea about having a status notice for the render farm on the front page or maybe up in the menu bar, letting all users know when the farm is on/offline, to prevent alot of the same questions coming when it's stuck or down? If it's possible...?

This is the problem with a bug. The system thinks it is up but it is not 😉 in the workshop, status is «On» so it would display the same on the front page. The only other option I see is overwriting the system manually to close it down from a distance - which still requires me to have internet access.
I understand the bug problem, I was more into the manual version. Maybe a couple of users you trust could get permission to manually change the status until you have the ability to fix the problem?
