Mecabricks Vs. LDD

I just discovered Mecabricks... I'm assuming it's got a greater variety of parts as compared to LDD? Some of the newer LDD parts don't render properly in POV-Ray, either.

Lego Digital Designer has an extensive part collection but is somewhat considered an "abandoned" software. Mecabricks does not have as many parts, but it is frequently updated with many of the newer parts released by Lego.
