I happened to notice that LDraw has a section where you can download a library of custom parts for their application. Not sure if this could be a feature for Mecabricks? It would be interesting to see what people could come up with. More new parts could also be added faster. May not be a decent in the quality render though...
Can custom parts become a reality, Scrubs?
There have been discussions before about this and I don't think that the plan already changed for this. In LDraw, you can design your own parts and use them straightaway in LDraw programs. But to get your part officially in the LDraw part library, it needs to go through a quality control.
