Sorting parts by year would be a really handy tool for building sets and/or year specific MOCs.
For example, if you wanted to build a Town set from the 80's, you'd be able to turn off all irrelevant results to speed up the part finding process. Or if you wanted to build a MOC based off of Alpha Team, and replicate that era's building style it would really help.
If Mecabricks uses BrickLink data, and BrickLink catalogs the year(s) parts were available, it should be possible to use that information, right?
Mecabricks doesn't really use bricklink data. It is simply manually added for compatibility purposes.
Not all parts are in bricklink and not all parts on Mecabricks have this data completed.
Result would be pretty average.
