Blender Render - Purple image
madmatt667 started this discussion in Model Export and Render

Hi everyone,

complete Blender n00b
I am just trying to render a small model from my library in Blender but it has come out as purple both times. I assume I have not set something up in the user preferences somewhere - this is on my work laptop 😃
Also a quick question, how would I add damage or fingerprintes to the blocks as I have seen on some renders?

Thanks all.

Hello,
Purple means that you haven't set the environment map.
For damages, fingerprints, etc, you need the advanced add-on for Blender. This is not included with the free version.
This was also all available on the online version that was active until I shut it down just now. Stay tuned for 2018 for the proper release of this function.

Thanks once again Scrubs, just trying to get used to Blender. Not a fan of the control scheme for moving and rotating etc but I got my render sorted.
